China Forum of Macroeconomic Research

 

The forum provides a platform for the economists around the world to discuss broad macroeconomic issues, with a special interest in the Chinese economy.

 

Purposes

The aim of the forum is to advance and disseminate high-quality research in macroeconomics, especially research on Chinese macroeconomy. Macroeconomics includes broad areas related to consumption, investment, employment, business cycles, monetary and fiscal policies, money, credit and banking, economic growth and development, structural changes, international trade and finance, and macro-finance. The forum focuses on issues in the Chinese macroeconomy as well as the global economy.

 

Organization

The president is elected by the executive directors, serves two years, and can be re-elected. The general secretaries control and manage the operation of the forum. The responsibilities of the board of directors include: choosing new members, choosing locations and organizers of the conferences, and discussing current affairs of the forum.

 

Members

Members of the forum consist of the Chinese economists around the world, who are interested in advancing and disseminating high-quality research on macroeconomics, especially on the Chinese macroeconomy.

 

Conference

The main activity of the forum is to hold an annual conference in China. The conference will be held in different cities of China and organized by the board of directors and an ad hoc program committee.
